Chatbase figures are their published rates as of August 2026. Their credit cost is 1 for an economy model, around 3 for Claude Sonnet and 5 for Claude Opus, which is why the same number of credits answers very different numbers of questions. Check their pricing page yourself before deciding; we would rather you did.
The multiplier is the part nobody explains
Chatbase sells message credits, but a credit is not a reply. It is one to five credits depending on which model you pick: one for their economy models, three for Claude Sonnet, five for Claude Opus. So 500 credits sounds like 500 questions, but if you turn on a stronger model it answers 100. The number on the pricing page is not the number of questions your visitors get answered.
AISupportForge has no model picker and no multiplier. It runs Claude Haiku 4.5 for every reply, and one credit is one reply, always. If we move to a stronger model later, your allowance does not shrink to pay for it. There is no arithmetic to do before you know what you are buying.
The branding fee is hidden in the fine print
The free Chatbase plan carries a "Powered by Chatbase" badge, and removing it is a paid add-on of about $1,188 a year on top of your subscription. That is more than a year of our Starter plan before you have even removed their logo from your chat window.
AISupportForge shows a "Powered by AISupportForge" badge on the free plan only. Every paid plan, from $14.99 a month, removes it. There is no branding line item, because there is no branding to pay to remove.
When each one is the right call
Chatbase is a good fit if
You need phone and outbound campaigns, a wide model catalogue, or enterprise controls, and you are comfortable paying the Standard or Pro price and managing credit multipliers.

Do I need to choose which AI model answers?
No. We run one model, Claude Haiku 4.5, for every reply on every plan. There is no model picker and no multiplier, so your allowance is the number of replies you get.
Can I move my knowledge base over from Chatbase?
Yes. Point us at your website and we crawl your pages, or upload your documents and PDFs. There is no export format to match because we read your content directly.
Does AISupportForge have a WordPress plugin?
Yes. We are in the WordPress plugin directory, so you install us from inside wp-admin without editing code.
What does the free plan include?
